Tap the download button below from your Android device to get the APK installer.
If prompted, enable "Install unknown apps" for your browser. This lets Android install the APK you just downloaded.
Tap the downloaded file from your notifications or Downloads folder. Tap Install when prompted.
Open VPN Cognito, log in with your account email and password, pick a server, and tap Connect. That's it — you're protected.
On your Fire TV, go to the search and find the free Downloader app. Install and open it.
Before using Downloader, enable app installation: Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install unknown apps → turn on for Downloader.
Open the Downloader app and enter this code:
Press Go. The VPN Cognito app will download, then tap Install.
Open VPN Cognito on your Fire TV. The app will give you an activation code to use for login.
When the activation code appears in the app, follow the on-screen login steps to connect your device to your account. Then select a server and connect.
Download and install the official OpenVPN Connect client from openvpn.net/client. This is the industry-standard free client we recommend.
Sign in to your VPN Cognito account, go to your active service, and download the OpenVPN config (.ovpn) file for the server location you want.
Open OpenVPN Connect, click Import Profile → File, and select the .ovpn file you just downloaded.
When prompted, enter your VPN Cognito account email and password. Save the profile, then toggle the connection on. You're protected.
Download the VPN Cognito Mac app here. Open the downloaded DMG file and drag the app to your Applications folder.
Launch VPN Cognito from your Applications folder. If macOS shows a security prompt, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to the Security section, and click Open Anyway next to VPN Cognito.
Enter your VPN Cognito email and password and tap Sign In.
Choose a server location from the list and tap Connect. You're protected.
On your iPhone or iPad, search the App Store for OpenVPN Connect and install the official free app.
In Safari on your iPhone/iPad, sign in to your VPN Cognito account and tap the .ovpn file to download it.
After downloading, tap Share → Open in OpenVPN. The app will prompt you to add the profile — tap Add.
Enter your VPN Cognito email and password. Toggle the connection switch on and allow OpenVPN to add VPN configurations when iOS prompts you. Done.
